Current fixations:
Ben Harper is my new love. I like the Daily Show too... and Politically Incorrect.
Mind-altering work of art:
Art is for smart people; I must grow into that.
Most memorable or inspirational gig and why?
The time I saw Through:Emeny:Eyes and people were jumping off lights and shit, a ha ha ha. Okay, it didn't inspire me, but it was damn entertaining!
What has been your career high and low?
High: volunteering at CHMR FM.
Low: I have not had a low as I have never really worked; babysitting does not count.
What should everyone shut up about?
Everyone should shut the hell up about how Metallica have sold out. Christ, get some musical taste and learn to respect artists that can survive for over 20 years and still be creative.
I would drop everything to play a benefit for:
Save the Melissa Tobin's mental head fund!
What trait do you like and dislike most about yourself?
I like that I am sarcastic and funny. I know people don't think that about me but I like that anyways! My stubbornness is gonna pose some big ass problems for me someday, so I guess that's what I hate the most but I can't help that I am never wrong!
What would make you kick someone out of your band and/or bed, and have you?
No, I have not, but if they came after me with ketchup they would be booted pretty fast, I tell ya!
When I think of Canada I think:
I think of moose and I think of cold weather and then snow and then snowboarding and then bruises and them bragging to everyone I see about my bruises. Man, I'm cool!
What is your vital daily ritual?
Hmm, thanks for that hard ones. I think I would have to say sleep, but doesn't everyone love to sleep?
How do you spoil yourself?
I spoil myself with blue Pixie Stix!
What was your most memorable day job?
Day job? To have had a most memorable day job I would have to have had a job in the first place now wouldn't I?
If I wasn't playing music I would be:
I would be a DJ at a cool radio station that only played cool music. Reality or fiction?
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is dying after everyone I think is cool is dead. Take me first!
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
I would know where to buy all the blue Pixy Stix and I keep them all for myself. Muhahahahaha!
What makes you want to take it off and get it on?
When I get that feelin' I need sexual healin'. Right now I would have to say Ben Harper's cover of "Sexual Healin'," and I have always wanted to "dance" to CCR's "I Put A Spell On You."
Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why?
Hell yes. Music has the power to make you feel and to be able to feel whatever way you want to feel and not give a shit. The emotions are truly personal and no one can take true emotions away from you. With sex there is always someone else you gotta worry about.
Strangest brush with celebrity:
I saw David Usher, I hate him by the way, at a hotdog stand and instead of walking away, something possessed me to say hello and talk with him for a bit. I found it funny after but now I think I was dumb; now he thinks I thought he was cool. Wrong!
Who would be your ideal dinner guest, living or dead, and what would you serve them?
James Hetfield would come to my house and I would BBQ the wild game he just shot in my backyard.
What does your mom wish you were doing instead?
My mom wishes I didn't speed.
