Look, we were pretty impressed when we learned Mayer Hawthorne's "Her Favorite Song" featured UK R&B singer Jessie Ware on the hook, but now that the video for the single has revealed that a bunch of musical pooches performed on the track too, the song has easily turned into, well, our favourite song.
Hawthorne's vocals are as velvety smooth as ever, but the video has us focusing on that shades-sporting lab on the drums, not to mention the scruffy fella slappin' that oversized bass. Even the basset hound trying to pull a Limp Bizkit by scratching on the track can't ruin the mood. That said, not everyone is as stoked on the canine crew in the club, as evidenced by the horrified gal getting licked by a liquored-up terrier.
You can check it all out down below.
As previously reported, "Her Favorite Song" is set to appear on Hawthorne's upcoming Where Does This Door Go, which is due July 16 via Republic Records.
