Massive Attack Tease New EP 'Eutopia'

BY Allie GregoryPublished Jul 8, 2020

Massive Attack's 3D might have just revealed plans for the English group's return with a new EP titled Eutopia.

In a series of Instagram posts, the project's Robert "3D" Del Naja hinted at a possible new recording, posting three images captioned with the hashtag #EutopiaEP.

While Massive Attack have yet to formally announce the record, Eutopia's possible album art is well in line with the art of releases in recent past, making it feel pretty legitimate.

The EP would arrive following Massive Attack's extensive North American "Mezzanine XXI" tour, which took place late last year. Back in April during the dawn of the coronavirus pandemic, they also announced their own livestream Minecraft festival, accompanied by HEALTH, Pussy Riot, IDLES, Cherry Glazerr and more.

Massive Attack's most recent full-length release was 2011's Heligoland. Back in 2016, the project released their Ritual Spirit EP, as well as their most recent single, "The Spoils."
