With only a small handful of twelve-inch releases and her debut 2009 album, How Do You Do? under her belt, emerging Berlin-based producer Margaret Dygas releases her exceptionally brilliant mini-album on the notable Perlon label. On this self-titled release, Dygas demonstrates her outstanding mastery of modern, texturally mesmerizing, abstract, deep tech-house. Extraordinary opening track "Missing You Less" is a hypnotic, building percussion track that entangles piano elements with reverb for an essential dance floor number. "Soon" is an idyllic, beautiful, deep, uplifting house track with abstract percussion rhythms. "Country Way of Life" could be comparable to Bruno Pronsato's craftsmanship, due to its artful phrasing and vocal snippets. "41" is a full-on, grooving, minimal techno stomper perfect for peak hours in the club. This album is an outstanding sampling of Dygas's dynamic range and artful precision. This is highly recommended and she's definitely a producer on the rise.
