Those of us on the West Coast have no doubt noticed a lack of Manvils gigs since the summer, and there's a good reason for that. The formerly Vancouver-based rock outfit recently packed up their bags to head out to Toronto, and are now ready to take over their adopted city with a handful of EPs.
The band are celebrating the move with a relaunch of their website and the release of their first new EP, Black Tornado. The mini-set is being released via iTunes today (October 25) and is currently streaming from their website now.
You can also download Black Tornado highlight "Lions of a Lost Tongue" here for the price of an email. A vinyl version of the package is also available via Sandbag Records.
The release is a swan song to Vancouver, having been recorded there earlier this year, and sets the template for the outfit's next couple of EPs, which will be recorded in their two other favourite cities: Toronto and Chicago.
The Manvils will be playing an EP release party on Wednesday (October 26) at Toronto's Supermarket club. For those of you who can't make it, the band will be streaming the gig live here. The Manvils go on at 11:15 p.m. EST, sharp.
