Rising Chicago rapper Lucki Eck$ is inly 18 years old, but he's quickly becoming one of the next great exports from his city's fertile rap scene. His reputation has solidified further with "Weightin' On," a song produced in collaboration with Detroit's Danny Brown.
The song's built on an immaculate and detail-oriented beat, all whirring, haunted synths, booming trap drums and plenty of other bells and whistles. Opening with Brown's trademark frantic delivery, the song takes a left turn when Eck$ adds his casual cool. It's a fantastic collection of ideas, giving "Weightin' On" some serious hit-making potential.
