Fabriclive 46

The compilations released by UK club Fabric's label bloom plentifully and vibrantly like wildflowers in summer. Regularly offering the most current contributions to electronic dance music culture, Fabric collaborates with beat-based dance producers, putting out diverse albums, from the gritty, fly break-beats of Freq Nasty (Fabriclive 42) to the soulful techno of Omar S. (Fabric 45: Detroit). On Fabriclive 46, drum & bass innovator LTJ Bukem is back in gear representing what he does on a Friday night with his collection of dub plates and records. The sounds found here are prolific. Laying down records exclusively from producers connected to his Good Looking label (like Furney and Paul SG), this Fabric compilation shows us that the current state of drum & bass is alive, well and impeccably solid! Songs like "2 Minds" by Locksmith and "People's Music" by Greg Packer provoke thoughts about the state of dance music and of our world, with resonant beats to inspire.
