Recent Arts & Crafts signee Lowell is preparing to release the debut album We Loved Her Dearly on September 16, and her song "The Bells" has gotten the remix treatment from dd elle.
The original version of this tune appeared on Lowell's I Killed Sara V. EP and will reemerge on the forthcoming full-length. This remix strips down the instrumentation, with the first half finding Lowell's voice backed by plinking tones and abstract electronics. During the final passage of the six-minute track, the beat gets crunchier and slightly more insistent, although this one definitely favours experimentation over danceability.
