Apparently getting his retro 60s yah yahs out with his full-time band is not enough, so the (International) Noise Conspiracy's Dennis Lyxzén changes gears from Stooges-influenced up-tempo garage rock to more introspective, mellow folk pop. With Lyxzén taking over guitar and vocal responsibilities, he utilises his broad base of fellow Swedish musician pals to round out the musical aspect of the disc. With the blending of acoustic guitar, flute, sax, piano in various songs, this sophomore Lost Patrol disc sound like the punk record Van Morrison and Nick Drake never made. The result is a lot of heartfelt yearning and the revealing of a new and different side of a gifted artist.
