We're still over month away from both the release of Lost in the Trees' next album, A Church That Fits Our Needs, and the group's impending tour, but the orchestral folksters have at least whet our whistles with a new video for single "Red."
As elegant and whimsical as its ethereal strings-and-acoustic-guitar arrangement, the clip showcases a number of stop-motion scenes, from bathtubs filling up with plant life, to Singer sewing machines synching up to the beat, to a collection of cassette tapes unspooling into new patterns. Singer Ari Picker, meanwhile, displays a stilted two-step as he gently sings the song in front of his hearth.
