New Zealand pop teen Lorde has assembled quite the release with her soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1. The album is full of material from a plethora of artists, but Lorde herself has also recorded a ton of new material, the latest of which is a cover of Bright Eyes' "Ladder Song."
Though the song was originally Conor Oberst's, Lorde completely makes it her own. Atop some minimal keys and dreamy atmospherics, she offers up some seriously ethereal vocals. It's an impressive cover, to say the least.
