Jeremih's hit "Don't Tell 'Em" is only a few months old, but it's already gotten a cover version courtesy of New Zealand sensation Lorde.
The teenage singer performed the song at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. Accompanied by a percussionist and keyboardist, Lorde remained fairly faithful to the hip-hop-tinged electronic pop style of the original, although she slowed down the tempo and made it a little more darkly minimal. It's an effective arrangement, hampered only by Lorde's rather conspicuous glances to read lyrics off her laptop.
