Lizzo had a swift fall from grace last year after several of her dancers came forward accusing the pop star of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment. Now, after months of criticism, Lizzo has said, "I QUIT."

In a statement posted Friday (March 29), Lizzo wrote, "I'm getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet," adding that she was sick of "being the butt of the joke every single time" and "my character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name."

It's not clear exactly what Lizzo says she's quitting. Is she quitting social media? Is she giving up catering to people's expectations? Is she quitting the music business entirely?

This statement came one day after Lizzo performed at a reelection fundraiser for President Joe Biden in New York City on Thursday night (March 28).
