Lingua Ignota Returns as Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter with New Album 'SAVED!'

Hear lead single "ALL OF MY FRIENDS ARE GOING TO HELL"

Coming off of the success of 2021's Sinner Get Ready, Kristin Hayter announced last November that she would be retiring her Lingua Ignota project. She's now announced her debut album under her own name: Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter.

We'll be getting SAVED! on October 20, via Hayter's own label, Perpetual Flame Ministries. She recorded it with longtime collaborator Seth Manchester on a 4-track, and then the tapes were "further degraded in a series of small half-broken cassette players," as per a press release.

"It is a record in which I reach new levels of unhinged, spiritually and sonically," Hayter explained in an Instagram post. "Leaving Lingy behind, I am seeking myself, and evangelical conversion becomes an allegory for undoing and rebuilding: 'To live ye must be born again.'"

Our first taste arrives in the form of creaking, hymnal lead single, "ALL OF MY FRIENDS ARE GOING TO HELL." Of the track, Hayter added, "While it is a record meant to be heard in full, the first single 'ALL OF MY FRIENDS ARE GOING TO HELL' is a cheeky little apocalyptic Christian separatist morality tale, a fire and brimstone saga inspired by Louvin Brothers tunes like 'The Christian Life.'"

Listen to the song and find the album tracklist below.
