Limp

California four-piece Limp come across somewhere between the Weakerthans and the Beach Boys on their second full-length. They have some of the pop sensibilities of the Weakerthans, but being weaned on the California sun rather than sub-zero Winnipeg winters takes some edge of the melancholy. A couple of the tracks on this 30-minute disk are ska-tinged for some added flavour. Although this isn’t an outstanding release, it is a good slice of pop that goes down easy.
