Vancouver duo Lightning Dust released Infinite Light in 2009 and then gave it a string quartet makeover in 2010. Now, Amber Webber and Joshua Wells -- who also play together in Black Mountain -- are getting ready to roll out a new split seven-inch with fellow Vancouverites Hard Drugs.
Lightning Dust's new track is called "Never Again." According to the press release, the song "expands Lightning Dust's sonic palette with deft synthesizer work and Webber's always heart-stirring vocals."
As for Hard Drugs' half of the split, it's called "Summertime Blues" and it's apparently "one hell of an uplifting, holy racket."
The seven-inch will be out on October 4 through the Storyboard Label. You can pre-order a copy here, or buy it from select Vancouver stores after it's released. The physical version of the split will be limited to 550 copies, which will be pressed on white vinyl, but the single will also be available digitally.
Lightning Dust are on tour in Europe this month. See the dates over at their official website.
