When Exclaim! spoke with Lightning Dust recently, the Vancouver-based Black Mountain spinoff were focused on turning their synth-heavy new LP, Fantasy, into a live show. In the coming months, audiences across North America will have a chance to hear this show in person, as the duo have expanded their tour schedule.
They had already confirmed plans to head out on a summer tour with Louise Burns in late July and early August. Once that's done, the band will resume touring in September; this late summer run includes Canadian gigs in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal, plus a number of U.S. cities.
See the schedule below, and scroll past that to watch the newly unveiled clip for "Loaded Gun."
The video treatment for this dark dance cut features futuristic lighting and some disorienting closeups of various body parts. A press release describes this Zachary Rothman-directed video as "a futuristic study of the human race as told through bold and bleak images of fluorescent light, dripping skin, and ominous camera movements. The video speaks to the good and bad inherent in children and our uncertain times ahead."
