Liam Gallagher and the Rest of Oasis Form New Band, Minus Noel

Oasis have had quite a messy break-up. It started off with the announcement of a five-year hiatus, which was later called off. Then, in late August, Noel Gallagher announced that he was leaving the band. Later, Liam confirmed that this was true, and now he's revealed that he's working on a new project with all of Oasis, sans Noel.

In an interview with Italy's Radio Deejay, Liam said his love of writing and performing songs has kept him busy with a new project that includes Oasis band-mates Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock. "We're sort of doing things at the moment. Not Oasis. Oasis is done. Everyone except for Noel," Liam said.

There's been no mention of Noel's current plans, although a solo album has been rumoured for some time. If that doesn't work out, however, we're pretty sure there's a vacancy opening up in Aerosmith.
