Montreal electro duo Le Matos composed the score to this year's "BMX-powered post-apocalyptic love story" Turbo Kid, and they've just announced plans to give the Cancon musical accompaniment a proper release.
Arriving as a double album, the first part is titled Chronicles of the Wasteland and features new content inspired from the duo's process of crafting the film's soundtrack. The second part is the official Turbo Kid soundtrack itself.
The two-disc set is due out on December 4 through newly launched Simone Records affiliate Fantôme Records, marking the imprint's inaugural release.
Le Matos' Turbo Kid work was previously treated to a special vinyl single through Death Waltz.
You can also catch the band live at a couple of upcoming hometown shows; they'll be performing at M for Montreal on November 19, followed by a live set during the double album's release party on December 9 at the Phi Centre.
Before they take the stage, though, listen to the PAWWS-featuring track "No Tomorrow" from the original motion picture soundtrack to Turbo Kid in the player below.
