Lana Del Rey hinted in an interview last February that she was working on a new tune called "Black Beauty," and now a demo of the song has leaked.
The track starts off sparsely, with Del Rey's smoky vocals clouding over a dour piano melody. Moody synths and electronic percussion paps then make their way into the arrangement, while Del Rey details lost love and other disappointments ("Oh, what can I do / Life is beautiful, but you don't have a clue").
You can sample the demo down below.
"Black Beauty" is expected to pop up in finished form on Del Rey's sophomore follow-up to her 2012 debut Born to Die.
