Keeping up with the badass tom-boy shtick that's been central to her career, naughty British rapper Lady Sovereign was arrested in Australia early Saturday (September 25) for throwing down with a doorman.
According to Billboard, Sov got into a fight with a bouncer at the Beat, a popular gay nightclub in Brisbane, Australia. During the heated verbal exchange, the rapper allegedly spat on the bouncer as well.
Pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly, she was charged $400 Australian and ordered to pay the bouncer $200 Australian. She also had to spend the night in a jail cell.
As all angry celebrities should, Lady Sov took to her Twitter account to defend her case. "Brisbane police need to go catch some REAL criminals... what a waste... Spitting in someone's face is nasty, but how about a guy dressed up as a girl running at you in the toilets and punching you in the head?"
