Katy Goodman is set to issue her first La Sera LP since the Vivian Girls broke up, and is now promoting her current full-time project's upcoming Hour of the Dawn with a stream of its "Running Wild."
Fueled by a driving one-two beat, the song jangles along on slightly distorted six-string melodies as Goodman runs off gently-sung lines about a restlessness that keeps one awake at night. The song apparently takes aim at someone's pity party as well ("There's no use in crying if you're drowning in the sea"), before letting loose a red-hot, bend-heavy guitar solo.
You'll hear the band "Running Wild" in the stream down below. Hour of the Dawn arrives May 13 via Hardly Art.
