L7 Plan Reunion Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Dec 11, 2014

It looks like L7 are about to become the next '90s rock band to reunite, since they just posted a message on Facebook indicating that they're planning to tour if there's enough demand.

The grungy Los Angeles group have been inactive since 2001, and it's been even longer since the original lineup played together. They've been planning to chronicle their career with a documentary, and this led to them launching a Facebook fan page to share photos. Apparently, they've received so much positive feedback that they're now interested in a full-blown reunion.

This isn't a done deal just yet, since L7 wrote today (December 10) that they will need even more fan support to get interest from promoters. They ask fans to follow their social media accounts and share their posts, and they've also launched a mailing list (remember those?) at their recently launched website.

If all goes well, we should see the lineup of Donita Sparks, Suzi Gardner, Jennifer Finch and Dee Plakas together before long.

L7's previously-promised vinyl reissue of the 1992 album Bricks Are Heavy will come out on March 17 through Runt.

ATTENTION! A personal message from the band:

Greetings People! We want you to know that the love and support you have shown us here on Facebook this year has taken us all a bit by surprise. What started as a simple band page for us to post some archival photos we had been sifting through for an upcoming L7 documentary has turned into a wellspring of enthusiasm for the band. For this WE THANK YOU!
Many of you have asked when we might return for a reunion. Well, it's been 14 years since our last show, longer if you consider our original line up. But we (Donita, Suzi, Jennifer, and Dee) are hearing you, we are talking about it, and we kinda agree. Why the hell not?

Here's the situation…
They say to raise a child it takes a village, well to get interest from promoters for L7 to do reunion shows it's going to take an ARMY. An army of you all. No joke.

Here's what we need…
We need your continued enthusiasm, your spreading the word by "Sharing" our posts and getting your friends and enemies to "Like" our page.

First and foremost WE NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESSES at our new website http://l7theband.com/
We need to reach you all directly. No spam, no problem.

Let's show 'em all! Your love and support will make this happen!
For those about to rock, WE SALUTE YOU.
Love, L7 xo
