No longer a member of the Pixies, Kim Deal is keeping busy by continuing in her series of solo 7-inches. The latest of these is "Biker Gone," which has gotten its own music video.
The song is a strange one, in that it is quiet and mellow while being simultaneously harsh and dissonant, with sing-song vocals that are eerie in their grating tunelessness.
The accompanying video shows Deal and her band — including guitarist sister Kelley — as employees of a funeral home. They serve out food to bikers at a memorial service that ultimately turns into a pretty good party, and they also perform the song inside of the facility
The song is available on 7-inch right here. Limited to 1,000 copies, it comes backed by "Beautiful Moon."
