Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid Announce New LP

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 9, 2008

When Kieran Hebden, also known as Four Tet and a member of Fridge, collaborated with legendary jazz drummer Steve Reid for the two-part Exchange Sessions in 2006, it seemed more like a one-time collaboration than an ongoing project. That all changed with the release of their Tongues LP last year, and the project keeps growing. The BFFs have just announced their fourth record, NYC.

Recorded in, you guessed it, New York City, NYC is a six-track album inspired by the Big Apple. And while none of the material has surfaced yet, the record will likely be of the improvisational, free jazz variety.

NYC is due on November 18 from Domino Records.
