Today (March 9) marks the 18th anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.'s death, and Kendrick Lamar paid tribute to the late rap great by freestyling over some Biggie beats.
This went down on the Los Angeles radio station Real 92.3. Over the instrumentals from "Respect," "The What" and "Kick in the Door," Kendrick dropped a string of politically charged rhymes. The audio quality is fairly poor, but you'll still be able to get the gist of Kendrick's rapping. Hear the freestyle below [via Revolt].
Meanwhile, Lamar has a new album coming out on March 23.
