Kathryn Calder Adds Canadian Dates on North American Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 18, 2011

Kathryn Calder hasn't done much touring in support of last year's Are You My Mother?, likely due to the fact that she's been busy playing with the New Pornographers. Now, the British Columbia native is finally taking her solo material on the road. After she's done her current West Coast tour, she will be playing some shows in the eastern half of the continent.

The next leg of the tour will start in June with Canadian shows in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. From there, Calder will play a handful of dates on the U.S. East Coast. The American dates are with Bird of Youth.

This week, Calder is wrapping up her West Coast jaunt with a show in Vancouver on Friday (May 20). To mark the occasion, Calder is giving away the track "If You Only Knew" as a free download. A cut from Are You My Mother?, it was reportedly inspired by life on the road. Get it here.
