"Neighbourhood" (video)

Hailing from Kingston, ON, Kasador got their start playing as the Will Hunter Band. Now, with a new name and a debut EP produced by the Tragically Hip's Rob Baker under their belt, the band are pushing forward with a brand new track called "Neighbourhood" — and Exclaim! has got the exclusive video premiere.

The song is the first to be heard from the group's forthcoming full-length debut. It's a moody but upbeat track, delivering sleek synths, funked-out bass lines and catchy hooks, combining the best elements of retro genres like funk and disco to create a fresh sound.

"It has been a very long time since we released any new music," Hunter tells Exclaim! "We've gone through a name change, new players in the band and countless hours on the 401 touring and then getting back to Kingston. When we were in the studio last summer, 'Neighbourhood' seemed like the first right step in our new direction and we are very proud to share it with you."

The accompanying video was directed by Brett Pedersen and captures the band biking around town with black-and-white shots, but by the time they pick up their instruments and start to play, things come into full colour. After the gig, things take an eerie turn when a mysterious driver whisks the frontman away into the night.
