Kanye West Unveils "Famous" Video Premiere Event

While it's not a part of Kanye West's upcoming "Saint Pablo Tour," the world famous rapper has announced another high-profile event. This Friday (June 24), he'll be hosting a massive viewing party for his new "Famous" video in Los Angeles.

The newly announced video screening is being held at Los Angeles' Forum, where he'll also be performing three concerts in October. This Friday's event will be the world premiere of West's music video for The Life of Pablo's "Famous." While Lord Yeezus will be in the building, he's not scheduled to perform.

In case you happen to be in California in time for the viewing party, tickets go on sale tomorrow (June 23) at 10 a.m. PDT. For those that can't make it out, the event will be livestreamed via Tidal, like Kanye's Madison Square Garden listening party for The Life of Pablo this past February.

Notably, "Famous" is rather infamous for the following Taylor Swift-referencing lines: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous / I made that bitch famous."

While West had said that he had told the pop singer about the line ahead of the record's release, representatives for T-Swift later said the pop singer had not been contacted about the "misogynistic" song specifics, but rather a request to help plug the song over Twitter. Most recently, West's wife, Kim Kardashian, said this wasn't true, and that Swift "totally gave the okay" to the song.

"She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't," Kardashian had told GQ, adding, "I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved."
