Last fall, Kanye West was charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft after a run-in with a paparazzo at LAX. Though he plead not guilty, the rap renaissance man has been sentenced to two years probation.

As the AP reports, Kanye West offered a special plea where he maintained his innocence while also pleading no contest to misdemeanour battery charges after an airport scuffle with photographer Daniel Ramos.

Kanye entered the plea through his lawyer and didn't attend the court hearing. He has been sentenced to two years probation, 24 anger management therapy sessions and 250 hours of community service. Kanye is also expected to pay for the repair of the photographer's equipment and any medical bills he may have incurred. In exchange, Kanye's grand theft charge has been dismissed.

According to Ramos, Kanye attacked him unprovoked, allegedly punched him in the face and wrestled his camera to the ground. Ramos' lawyers sought felony charges against Kanye, but those were dropped in favour of misdemeanour charges.
