Britpop revivalists Kaiser Chiefs led the way at the 2006 Brit Awards, winning Best Group, Best Rock Group and Best Live Act. Held on February 15 at Earls Court in London, the ceremony also saw Coldplay, Green Day and James Blunt pick up two awards each. Heavily hyped newcomers Arctic Monkeys picked up Best Breakthrough Act, while Modfather Paul Weller received the honour for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
