Late last year, Marr teased an upcoming political record with Maxine Peake, explaining that the music addresses "what it feels like to be alive in the UK right now."

"There's a track called 'Bug,' which is about the virus of the rightwing and bolstering our immune systems," he elaborated, speaking to The Guardian. "And there's another song that is about the feeling directly after Trump and Brexit, but it turned into a story of escaping into this kind of alternative society. There are a few songs that imagine an escape from — I've got to say it — dystopia."

Marr previewed the political new material with lead single "The Priest." Revisit the song's music video down below.

Though no release date has been announced, when Call the Comet does eventually land, it will mark Marr's third solo studio effort. He released The Messenger in 2013, followed by Playland in 2014. He also released a live album dubbed Adrenalin Baby in 2015 and an autobiography titled Set the Boy Free in 2016.
