If you've been paying attention, you will have noticed that beloved music outsider John Maus has slowly been hinting at his return. He recently rolled out a series of new tour dates, including a stop at Pop Montreal, and now he's shared a new teaser of sorts, complete with new music.
While Maus hasn't released an album since 2011's We Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves, a follow-up seems to finally be on the horizon. There aren't really a lot of details to go on, but Maus has just unloaded a pretty insane new video, labelling it "COUNTER STRIKE!"
Coming as part Astron-6, part Tim and Eric and all Maus, it's a mind fuck, to say the least, and we kind of have no idea what any of it means. That said, it does promise something coming "this summer," so we're going to place our bets squarely on a new album.
