Better late than never, Brooklyn-based rapper Joey Bada$$ has released his latest mixtape Summer Knights.
As previously reported, the freebie follows the Beast Coast MC's 2012 breakthrough 1999 and features cuts like the roughly spit "95 Til Infinity," the Statik Selektah-produced soul jam "Word Is Bond" and the DOOM beat-driven "Amethyst Rockstar" collaboration with Pro Era pal Kirk Knight.
Additionally, the rest of the tape features guest appearances from other Pro Era members, including Dessy Hinds, Nyck Caution, Dirty Sanchez, CJ Fly and A La Sole, and features a tribute to the late Capital Steez ("LongLiveSteelo"). On the production side of things, beats were also whipped up by Chuck Strangers, the Alchemist, Kirk Knight, Lee Bannon and more.
You can stream or download the tape, which will whet our whistles until Bada$$ delivers his studio debut B4.Da.$$ in 2014, down below.
Don't forget, Bada$$ and the rest of Pro Era will take part in the "Under the Influence of Music" tour this summer with A$AP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa and more. The trip hits up Toronto and Montreal in August, and you can check the details here.
