Get ready to be brutalized a little early, Job for a Cowboy fans, because the tech-minded Arizona metal crew have wrangled up the entirety of their new Sun Eater LP into an online audio stream ahead of its official November 11 due date via Metal Blade.
As previously reported, Sun Eater is the Glendale-based group's first full-length since 2012's Demonocracy, and it features nine new songs. It's also the first record to feature work from percussionist Danny Walker, who took on drum duties when Jon Rice exited the outfit in 2013. Walker, however, isn't listed as a full-time member of the act.
Throughout the set, you'll hear the slip-sliding bass tones and vicious double-kick attack of "Eating the Visions of God," the skin-blistering prog-metal assault "Sun of Nihility," and the doom-laden arrangement of gurgled vocals, mind-bending scales and metal-cracking requiem bells on "The Celestial Antidote." All that and more can be sampled down below.
