It's probably their fault. After skyrocketing to global fame off "Right Here, Right Now," a single that both literally and musically captured a specific moment in time, how could Jesus Jones engineer a comeback? Answer: they couldn't. But in this era of early '90s nostalgia, they do it give it the old college try with London, their latest dance-inspired rock record. But nothing here sounds as exhilaratingly of the moment as their big hit, not even their obvious Top 40 attempt "Nowhere Slow." But while they argue, "you're not screwed, if you choose, anymore," the only real way to unscrew yourself is to release a compelling record that remembers how to synthesise rock and dance without merely using beats and samples as window-dressing. This isn't it.
