Don't forget, while Jeremih will be delivering his new Not on My Album mixtape this Monday (August 4), he's also set to unveil the Grade A goods later this fall on his next full-length. The R&B singer has let loose a few details behind the upcoming LP, most notably that he's renamed the effort Late Nights: The Album.
While at one point the record was going by the working titled Thumpy Johnson, Jeremih has since confirmed that his next studio LP, due September 30 through Def Jam, has undergone a name change. According to the artist, this is because its nocturnal genesis makes it a sister set to his 2012 mixtape Late Nights.
"The last body of work I put out was Late Nights," Jeremih explained to XXL. "I still feel like how I was feeling when I recorded that. I was traveling, up late nights, recording all the time. It just felt like every record was catering to… I imagined if it was a big bed in the club, everybody would be in one big ass orgy off of all the songs [on the LP]."
He added of his music's change of tone since issuing his last proper full-length, 2010's All About You: "My first two albums I was making sad songs. I don't feel like that no more. I was in a relationship then. I'm single as hell right now. You're getting the best of my last single years."
While neither a tracklisting nor song previews have appeared yet to promote Late Nights: The Album, you can peep his recently revealed Not on My Album track "She Know It" in the video down below. Jeremih also let loose his long-in-the-works No More with Shlohmo last month.
