As we already mentioned, former child actress and current alt-country queen Jenny Lewis (of Rilo Kiley) has been working on an upcoming album with her longtime collaborator and boyfriend, singer-songwriter Johnathan Rice. The duo, dubbed Jenny and Johnny, have now offered up a free stream of three tracks ("Scissor Runner," "Switch Blade" and "Big Wave") off their upcoming record, all in the form of a virtual cassette tape. How very indie of them!
The duo's full-length, I'm Having Fun Now, will be released on August 31 via Warner Bros. Records.
