So far in 2013, we've received updates from a couple of Jenny Lewis-related projects in the form of Rilo Kiley's archival compilation and the Postal Service's reunion tour. What's more, the busy singer will be re-teaming with her beau (and Jenny and Johnny bandmate) Johnathan Rice in order to pen songs for an upcoming Anne Hathaway movie.

According to The Playlist/Daily Mail, the film is called Song One, and it reportedly stars Hathaway as an archeologist who returns from Morocco when her brother is injured. She subsequently romances a musician, played by English singer-actor Johnny Flynn.

Jenny and Johnny are writing songs for Flynn to sing, although Hathaway — who recently starred in the Oscar-nominated musical Les Misérables — will take the lead on one of the tunes.

The film will be directed by Kate Barker-Froyland, who also wrote it. The production is reportedly slated to start filming later this year

This isn't the first time Lewis has penned music for the big screen, since she also scored the new Dakota Fanning vehicle Very Good Girls.
