Housewife — the pop-rock project of Toronto's Brighid Fry — has returned with a new EP. Arriving March 7, Girl of the Hour is a compilation of previously released and new tracks.
The follow-up to 2022's You'll Be Forgiven features "I Lied," "Life of the Party," "Wasn't You" and "Divorce," as well as the new single "Work Song," which arrives today.
"'Work Song' is about feeling unsatisfied with yourself and where you're going," Fry said in a press release. "I have really high expectations of myself but also have really unhealthy habits and so oscillate between being a workaholic and being burnt out. I wanted to poke fun at myself, while still processing it as a valid issue in my life. This song is for anyone else out there with executive functioning issues who sometimes feel like a hot mess."
In other recent Housewife news, Fry showed off their most prized guitar pedal for the latest edition of Exclaim!'s Show & Tell series.
