Who are you? Jacky Star.

What are you up to? Causing trouble (professional: don't confuse my work with the local high school jocks).

Hometown and current HQ: Lennoxville, Quebec.

Current fixations: Subtle ways of saving the world (from eco-disators) without interfering too much with my homework... I mean trouble causing!

Most memorable/inspirational gig and why? After interviewing Tegan and Sara, I sat back and watched them play and they were awesome and I thought, damn, they're so young! But then I realised that I was young too, and that we were all doing what we wanted to do. I was where I wanted to be and i hoped they were, too.

What should everyone shut up about? How proud we are to be Canadian because no one takes pride in what we do!

Your greatest strength and weakness: I'm a liar but I'm good at it.

Your vital daily ritual: Checking my email to see if the Canadian Secret Service has recieved my application.

Guilty pleasure: Poutine (for everyone outside of Quebec, these are the bomb! Waiting for the day when they'll make them vegan!)

If I wasn't playing music I would be: I'm not playing music: on occasion, I sit in a DJ booth and force thousands of students to listen to horrible punk music. Sometimes my roomates overhear soundwaves from my room but nothing that I would call earthquaking.

Your most memorable day job: The one day in the cookie factory: I lied and said I could drive and the next day they told me that I was going to be driving the fork lift! I quit at my lunch break.

Best/worst advice received: All good speakers start off as bad speakers and trust me, you'll like it.

I would drop everything to play a benefit for: The world!

What makes you want to take it off and get it on? German accents, dreads, and a deep love for punk/hardcore music.

What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band? And have you? If they don't know why I'm upset, well I'm not telling!

When I think of Canada I think: Someday this will all be mine.

Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why? Music is becoming more like sex, in that you can't share your CDs with just anyone (because you might get them back stracked and sticky). Sex is overrated and just like music, don't think that you're doing something that hasn't been done before: IT'S ALL BEEN DONE, DON'T FEEL COOL WITH THOSE HANDCUFFS!

Strangest brush with celebrity: Meeting the lead singer of Slayer at a Slayer show and all I could ask "who's Slayer?"

What does your mom wish you were doing instead? Not getting pierced right now (I love you, Mom).
