The veritable calm before the storm, rapper J. Cole has just unveiled a super serene, cycling-saluting video for the "Intro" to his upcoming 2014 Forest Hills Drive LP. Before the album lands on Tuesday (December 9) via Roc Nation, you can check out the spitter taking in the sights of New York as he sings the opening tune.
The video is quite charming, with the rapper cruising his way through city streets with his headphones on. As we see him awed by the flashing lights surrounding of him, a score of floating jazz piano, muted midnight brass and more has him repeating the self-reflective line, "Do you want to be happy?" A few introspective bars are added late in the game, discussing how we ease our souls when life gets tough.
