Is There a New D'Angelo Song in 'Red Dead Redemption 2'?

Nearly four years removed from surprise releasing his Black Messiah LP, it's known that D'Angelo works in mysterious ways. Though he's been relatively silent in the years since, some musically-inclined gamers are wondering if a new track has surfaced in Red Dead Redemption 2.

The song in question plays between two missions in the fifth chapter of Rockstar Games' wildly popular Western title, with rumours swirling that the song is called "Unshaken." While the song's title and artist have yet to be confirmed by the developer, it's hard not to hear the similarities in vocal style.

You can hear a rip of the audio in the player below. "Unshaken" has also appeared suddenly on a new BBC playlist.

Not unlike Rockstar's attention to musical detail with 2013's Grand Theft Auto VRed Dead Redemption 2's soundtrack features serious star power from the likes of Daniel Lanois, Colin Stetson, Arca and more.

The developer also previously noted that the soundtrack "features additional vocal performances from a range of award-winning artists to be revealed soon. All songs for both the score and soundtrack were created exclusively for Red Dead Redemption 2."

As of yet, however, Rockstar has not revealed who those artists may be.
