Tackhead, the infamous electro-dub-funk Anglo-American group that arose from the ashes of the Sugarhill Records house band, are seeking to fund their first new disc in 17 years by selling shares online. The band is seeking 150 investors to contribute shares of 150 euros apiece through PayPal. In return, each investor will receive five copies of a specially packaged disc including their name in the credits, to be made available seven months prior to the launch of the online-only version of the disc. It's a 21st century value proposition for investors: the experience of sharing in a common artistic goal and the feeling of being treated like a VIP in the pre-release strategy.
