Illusion Of Safety / Life Garden / Voice Of Eye

Two "long lost" live collaborations from 1995 between Illusion of Safety and the two above mentioned ensembles clock in at 40 and 36 minutes. The participants have taken the idea of the "jam band" format, transposed it to (mainly) electronic instruments, then flattened and stretched it like a soft metal chain, linking inner and outer space. Brief undulations of pitch and ritual percussion rise to the surface before settling into a calm Sargasso surface tension. The two pieces are veritably indistinguishable in approach and texture, increasing the hypnotic listening experience.
