Ian MacKaye has been hyping up his new band Coriky for a while, and with good reason. The project sees him team up with his Fugazi bandmate Joe Lally and his former the Evens bandmate/life partner Amy Farina. We heard the first song from Coriky earlier this year, and now we get another with "Too Many Husbands."
No, it's not a "Too Many Cooks" style goofball anthem set within the bounds of matrimony. Instead, "Too Many Husbands" is a wonderfully percussive post-punk song that ultimately really just sounds like the return of Fugazi.
Listen to "Too Many Husbands" below.
Coriky has had its release date moved. Dischord will now start shipping CD and vinyl pre-orders on May 29, with the full album set to arrive on digital platforms on June 26.
