After sharing the two-track EP Land of the Overflowing Urn this past summer, How to Dress Well has announced that a new full-length will arrive this fall.

Titled The Anteroom, Tom Krell's latest album as How to Dress Well will arrive October 19 through Domino. Thirteen tracks in length, the record was co-produced by Joel Ford (Ford & Lopatin, Oneohtrix Point Never). Krell's previous full-length, Care, arrived in 2016.

In a statement, Krell wrote that The Anteroom was written after both making a move to the West Coast and the 2016 United States presidential election:

I wrote the record after moving to Los Angeles, which is a crazy and maybe dreadful place, right after the 2016 election, with hell and death gaining ground all around us on every corner of the globe. The Anteroom is testament to a two year period in which I felt myself slipping out of the world and into a cosmic loneliness in which I would eventually be dissolved. In order to give myself a way back, I began to try to understand my station as some kind of anteroom — a space between — a chamber that separates the known and the unknown, stable life from total disintegration.

A first taste of the record arrives today with "Nonkilling 6 | Hunger," which you can watch a video for below.

As previously reported, Krell will tour Europe and North America later this year. You can find his itinerary here.
