Hot Chip are one of many artists contributing to the new star-studded Arthur Russell tribute album, Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell. Now, their contribution has emerged.
The UK electronic act took on Russell's "Go Bang," which was released through his Dinosaur L dance alias. But while the original was bongo-boppingly arty, this one sports a more urgent, modern electro pulse with thumping rhythms and repeated refrains.
Master Mix: Red Hot + Arthur Russell drops on October 21 on Yep Roc. Other contributors include Sufjan Stevens, Robyn, Devendra Banhart, Blood Orange, Scissor Sisters, Phosphorescent, Jose Gonzalez, Cults, Richard Reed Parry and many more.
