Apparently not everyone is familiar with the classic schoolyard game of Do Dump Date. It's pretty simple: someone names three people, and someone else has to state who they want to do, dump, and date. Really, the name says it all. Anyway, being that HiFi Handgrenades are composed of a bunch of dudes who've been kicking around punk rock for a while (in bands like the Fags and Suicide Machines), it seemed like a good idea to propose a game of Punk Rock Do Dump Date. Good jams all around!
It should be noted just how hard these guys are working; they've only been a band for a little over a year, and their first tour through Canada is opening for Foo Fighters, who appear to have become the biggest rock band on the planet while I wasn't paying attention. Being that stadiums aren't the ideal venue for a punk rock band, the HiFis are also playing small club shows every single night post-Foos; after playing the Air Canada Centre the night of this interview, they packed up (no roadies! punx!) and booked it to Sneaky Dee's to play again. They did that every night of the tour. Troopers, those kids are.
