Hiawatha

"Dogs of War"

A seemingly unlikely collaboration between Egyptrixx mastermind David Psutka and Thrush Hermit's Ian McGettigan, Hiawatha are set to release their debut album Language on September 25 via Last Gang. In the meantime, we get another taste of the collaboration with the new track "Dogs of War."

The bass-heavy track is built on a rumbling low-end and a barrage of synths that offer an eerie backdrop for McGettigan's soulful vocal delivery. The track adds more tension with each new layer, though it never reaches the enormous climax that it hints at. Instead, it's full of compelling unease.
